John and Jennifer Short live in Roseburg, Oregon. They are working hard to continue an American Quarter Horse legacy by owning and standing their own son of one of the all time leading sires of AQHA performance horses in the world, Peptoboonsmal.
Their red roan AQHA stallion “Lil Peppy Boonsmal“, is the example of their love of good horses and their desire to breed, raise and sell great cutting, penning and working cow horses. Lil Peppy Boonsmal’s (aka “Boogie”) pedigree and his accomplishments can be read about on his page on this site.
John and Jennifer are accomplished team penning riders and are actively competing at both local and regional levels. Their children, Garret, Kaylee and Trevor also are competitive team penners and active in school sports.
